Tired Hands Brewing Company is looking for a qualified person to join our team in a dynamic role, as manager of the Tired Hands Biergarten, a thoughtfully designed outdoor space in the Kensington section of Philadelphia.

The Biergarten Manager reports to and supports the Restaurant Director’s work, while working alongside the St.Oner’s leadership team, to offer our guests a full-bodied experience. We welcome fresh energy with new ideas as well as promote a unique and fulfilling experience for both our guests and employees. We seek a committed, responsible, and passionate individual to support our staff and exceed guests’ expectations. This is a temporary position, in a seasonal space.

Duties and Responsibilities

Service

  • Manage and support all Biergarten staff in daily operations of the Biergarten

  • Provide superior customer service and model ideal customer interactions and teamwork

  • Manage the service space, monitoring for cleanliness, safety, timeliness and quality of

    service and experience

  • Regularly check in on tables and bar guests to ensure welcoming experience

  • Implement and maintain proper cleaning procedures/deep clean

  • Insure all staff are informed of company current events and practices by keeping in close

    communication with heads of department

  • Regularly communicate with the Restaurant Director and/or other leaders, to discuss

    opportunities, and strengths of service, and areas for reinforcement and improvement

Management

  • Help develop, implement and enforce new steps of service

  • Enforce company policies and procedures and model compliance with company policies

  • Regularly communicate with GM to discuss deficiencies and strengths of service, areas

    for reinforcement and areas for improvement

  • Complete paperwork and participate in administrative procedures as necessary

  • Draft written reminders or recommend disciplinary action/termination for violations of

    company policy

  • Help identify employees for upward mobility

Required Qualifications

MustWe seek an applicant with initiative who is neat, well-spoken, courteous and works well with little supervision. Must be adaptive to a growing, and evolving company and work environment.

  • 2+ years of restaurant management experience

  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff and peers, and upper leadership

  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours

  • Ability to lift up to 40+ pounds

  • Ability to consistently exercise excellent judgment in difficult situations

  • Trustworthy and able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information

  • Ability to comply with and enforce company policies, including nondiscrimination

  • Ability to work calmly and productively in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to get along with others, and facilitate this type of relationship among staff

  • Willingness to be a team player and jump in when others need help

Compensation and Benefits

This is a full-time position. Competitive salary dependent upon experience and relevant qualifications. Tired Hands offers employee benefits upon meeting eligibility requirements.
