Job Description
Tired Hands Brewing Company is looking for a qualified person to join our team in a dynamic role, as the Assistant Manager of the BrewCafé. The Assistant Manager will report to and support the General Manager and COO’s work. We seek a committed, responsible and passionate individual to support our front of house staff and guests.

Duties and Responsibilities

Service:

  • Support management in overseeing all front of house staff

  • Provide superior customer service and model ideal customer interactions and teamwork for front of house staff

  • Manage the service space, monitoring for cleanliness, safety, timeliness and quality of service and experience

  • Work with GM and Bar Manager to implement proper cleaning procedures/deep clean

  • Insure all front and back of house staff are informed of company current events and practices by keeping in close communication with heads of department

  • Update website and regularly post new items to social media

Management

  • Support the General Manager in supervising front of house staff

  • Help develop, implement and enforce new steps of service

  • Enforce company policies and procedures and model compliance with company policies

  • Meet with FOH managers for regular manager meetings

  • Regularly meet with GM to discuss deficiencies and strengths of service, areas for reinforcement and areas for improvement

  • Complete paperwork and participate in administrative procedures as necessary

  • Draft written reminders or recommend disciplinary action/termination for violations of company policy

  • Schedule front of house staff

  • Help identify employees for upward mobility

Ordering/Inventory

  • Complete regular inventory of an order items such as, plates, silverware, and paper goods

  • Complete inventory and maintenance of Tired Hands merchandise in collaboration with the General Store manager. Ensure tidiness of merchandise and request additional items we needed.

  • Complete regular inventory and order additional miscellaneous items such as votive holders, poly liner, etc.

  • Ensure building is stocked with all items required for service

Minimum Qualifications:

We are seeking an applicant with initiative who is neat, well-spoken, courteous and works well with little supervision. Must be adaptive to a growing, and evolving company and work environment.

  • 2+ years of restaurant management experience

  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff and peers, direct reports and upper leadership

  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours

  • Ability to lift up to 40+ pounds.

  • Ability to exercise excellent judgment in difficult situations

  • Trustworthy and able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information

  • Ability to comply with and enforce company policies, including nondiscrimination

  • Ability to work calmly and productively in a fast and loud environment

  • Ability to get along with others

  • Willingness to be a team player and jump in when others need help

Compensation and Benefits
