THBC Code of conduct

THBC employees, contractors or other third parties acting at the direction of THBC will comply with our code of conduct while on our premises, including loading areas, parking areas and online spaces. We are dedicated to ensuring that our staff, our vendors and our customers (both in house and online) will feel safe and welcome in our spaces at all times. We expect all who work here or visit to conduct themselves in a way that aligns with our values. 

  • All such persons must conduct themselves as professionals who treat others with dignity and respect. 

  • Harassment - sexual or otherwise - and discrimination of any kind or nature is strictly prohibited. 

  • Language, conduct or gestures that are offensive, disparaging, disrespectful, or sexual in nature is prohibited, including racial or ethnic slurs, comments on a person's appearance or body, leering at a person, or other language, gestures or conduct that could make a person feel uncomfortable is prohibited. 

  • Physical touching, sexual solicitation or sexual innuendo is strictly prohibited. 

  • All such persons must follow the safety instructions as directed by Tired Hands staff, including wearing required safety equipment, as necessary.

  • We will not tolerate mi​​streatment based on gender, age, ability, orientation or ethnicity. We will call out, reject and stand up to actions or speech that are homophobic, racist, ablest, agist, misogynistic, hateful, violent or discriminatory in any way. 

  • We will not tolerate deliberate mis-gendering or use of dead names.

Violations of these policies by vendors or customers will result in immediate removal from our spaces.  

Violations of these policies by employees can result in a written warning, suspension, termination, or other consequences. Concerns from employees will be taken seriously and can be reported, either to HR or using our anonymous hotline. We treat everyone with the same respect and dignity as we expect to be treated. Extend kindness both to yourself and to others. And please: Be nice.
